Profile

Tshering Wangchuk is an alumnus of Anna University, India, where he attended his B.Tech in Information Technology from 2006 to 2011. He sat for the RCSE in 2012 and was deployed to the Royal Institute of Management as a Lecturer.

As an Assistant Lecturer, he taught Computer Science and Information Technology subjects to the Diploma and the PGD program. In 2016, he was given the opportunity to study Masters of Science in Data Science, in Sweden, through Swedish Institute Scholarship at the University of Skovde.

In 2018, his Master’s thesis which was an industry project while working as an interning Data Scientist was published in Springer's Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing. After returning from his studies, he joined RIM in 2019. He also worked with UN-APCICT to deliver a case study on Data Maturity using Nest’s Model which is published in UN-APCICT’s website.

Recently, he moved from the Department of ICT to Department of Research and Consultancy at RIM and has played a role in developing Research Strategy at RIM. He also has been instrumental in introducing a new course titled “Data analysis for Decision Making” for the PGD students at RIM. In general, he is very enthusiastic about Data and has sworn to propagate the use of technologies like AI, Machine Learning, Big Data and IoT in Bhutan.
