As a student, facilitator and teacher of leadership, Alvin Ung finds joy in listening to leaders and leadership teams to help them discover and share purpose together. He has done this for startups, senior government officials, consultancies, religious leaders and universities in Asia, Europe and North America.

As a student of leadership, Alvin was twice named as a Fellow at Khazanah Nasional. He is the author of four books including Together: Finding Purpose at the Intersection of Me+We. His writings have been published by the Associated Press, CNN and BBC.

As a facilitator, he has served top economic officials from 10 countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. For five years he designed leadership programs for the next generation of Malaysia’s top civil servants. The organisations he has served include twenty of Asia’s largest companies, The Boston Consulting Group, and Endeavor entrepreneurs at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year awards ceremony in Monaco.

As a teacher, Alvin currently serves as visiting faculty in leadership and spirituality at Regent College (in the University of British Columbia in Canada), where he was also conferred the Walter C. Wright Leadership Award for mentoring community leaders.

He is Leadership Mentor for vice presidents in the flagship leadership program at Khazanah Nasional. And he sits on the board of Handshakes, an award-winning data analytics company in Singapore.

Alvin has co-founded a social enterprise in leadership development in Southeast Asia, and a social enterprise that promotes literacy to indigenous tribes in Borneo island. Together with Fern, his wife, they volunteer as storytellers in a children’s library and school in Kuala Lumpur.
