Angela Cheung is Managing Director at APV, a video production agency based in Hong Kong. She’s an executive leader, trainer, writer, director and producer.
Angela was formerly Regional Director of Broadcast Marketing at Hong Kong Disneyland, Regional Director of Production at Walt Disney Television Asia Pacific and Head of Production of Fremantle Asia (makers of America’s Got Talent, The Price Is Right, American Idol and many other famous program formats) and Senior Producer at MTV.
During her time at Fremantle, Angela was sent to Germany, France, UK and Greece for training, particularly in the directing and handling of on-screen talent. She has also written speeches, presentations and advertising copy for advertising agencies and publications. It was when Angela worked as a fresh-faced presenter on Star TV’s Children’s Channel and a Radio DJ at FM Select that she realized her presenting skills could be developed.
Since then, Angela has been giving presenting workshops for over 15 years in Australia, Taiwan, India, Japan and Hong Kong. She has taught actors, TV presenters, students, singers and celebrities. As her word-of-mouth reputation spread, she was asked to give business-orientated presentation coaching at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Kerry Logistics, UBS, HSBC, Cathy Pacific and other blue-chip organizations.
Angela also received Media, Presentation, Management and Leadership training in Singapore and Spain under Disney’s “Leadership Journey” program and one-on-one coaching with CommCore in New York.
Angela has been active in digital marketing since 2003. She has created her own websites from scratch, published over 500 articles with 100,000s of views, worked on SEO strategies for both her own websites and other SMEs, and has recently written and published her own ebook. She’s conducted “An Introduction To Digital Marketing” workshops to university students, individuals and small businesses.
